Sony Alpha Camera – The Choice of Many
Professional photography has always been a popular profession, but not anyone can snap wonderful pictures of just about anything. More importantly, you should have the proper tools in order to take wonderful pictures, this tool is known as the SLR camera. This type of camera, in the right hands, can produce better quality pictures compared to regular cameras because the settings can be tweaked gently by the user unlike the latter which has automatic settings. This ability to control almost everything about the camera makes it difficult to use but the results are better. With that in mind, what is today’s trend when it comes to the SLR camera?
Since technology has advanced in leaps and bound, the SLR camera no longer makes use of film, instead it uses a memory card. In other words, it is now digitalized. One of the most popular digital SLR product lines is the Sony Alpha Camera series. Since early 2006, Sony was able to acquire Konica Minolta, a known manufacturer of digital SLRs. Sony then began to repackage some of its products and used the existing technology acquired from Minolta and expanded on it. By June 2006, the first Sony Alpha Camera was introduced. This began a whole new ballgame for the industry due to the cameras that Sony was able to bring out.
What makes the Sony Alpha Camera different from the rest? First of all, Sony has been known to offer the best in many other product lines because they can utilize efficiently the features of the camera. With the technology from Minolta and their ability to create the most sought after features their customers would want makes the Alpha different. Today, there are four designations used for the Alpha lenses, the G or “Gold Series”, DT or “Digital Technology Series”, SSM or “Supersonic Motor series” and the ZA or “Zeiss Alpha”, lenses that are manufactured by the highly acclaimed Zeiss lens manufacturer. This gives the buyer a wide range of cameras to choose from. Everything would depend on what they need or want.
The Sony Alpha Camera series has since made a name for itself in the digital SLR market. Although Sony has been in this market since 2005, it wasn’t until they were able to acquire Minolta and introduce this brand new series did they enjoy relative success in the market. Now they have competitive cameras at reasonable prices that rival most of the digital SLRs in the market today.
